Most times guests think of the term "interaction" from an MC, they are plagued with visuals of wedding djs with cheesy costumes and drunken grandeur. The guy that announces EVERY song and picks on random people at their tables or on the dancefloor.
Fortunately, your Chicago Wedding Dj CAN be interactive without drawing too much unwanted attention to him/herself. Here are a few things we can do to keep your guests happy and entertained.
- Games - Hey who said games have to be cheesy. Games were popular in the 90s and have since become a thing of the past, but like fashion cycles, they are coming back! One popular game is the shoe game. The bride and groom sit in chairs "back-to-back" on the dancefloor while holding each others shoe (and their own). Questions can be asked by the audience at random or by your Chicago Wedding Dj. The bride and groom then hold up whomever's shoe the question applies to. The result: laughter and fun for your guests!
- Ethnic Dances: Persian, Greek or Indian? We can open your dancefloor with some great songs and invite all of your guests to the dancefloor. This breaks the ice and usually, even the non-ethnic peeps will oblige ;)
- Dollar Game: This is our secret weapon if you have a smaller crowd. Just ask us about it!
- Dancing through the decades dance: This one is a little tougher to pull off. You'll need to get ALL of your guests on the dancefloor. The DJ/MC then directs guests to dance to the music of their decade. I recently did this for a bride and didn't think it would work, but pulled some tricks out of my bag and it was a HIT!
Interaction doesn't always have to be cheesy; it can be fun with the right Dj/MC.
